Santos Perdidos
Cuban Son ~ Afro-Peruvian ~ Rumba Espanola
Santos Perdidos is an acoustic Latin band based in the heart of the Mission, playing an eclectic mix of Son Cubano, Rumba Espa?ola, Bolero, and Afro-Peruvian Lando.

Santos Perdidos met in the summer of 2009 and proceeded to bond as friends and musicians in John Calloway?s San Francisco State Afro-Cuban Jazz Ensemble. The group started playing together in a very informal setting, but it didn?t take long before they began to take notice of their remarkable chemistry ?highlighting their strong vocal harmonies while simultaneously playing their instruments. Santos Perdidos' rich sound includes a constantly expanding repertoire ? from Cuba, Peru, Colombia, Mexico & Spain and will soon include original compositions.

The band soon became involved in the community, with their first featured gig taking place at the Mission Arts & Performance Project?s (MAPP) ?Secret Garden.? From there, Santos Perdidos has been leaving their mark wherever they play, whether it?s a local benefit, a weekly performance at Bollyhood Cafe, or playing songs anywhere throughout San Francisco.

The band?s format varies, often including guest musicians to augment the band?s sound, but consistently features three of the original members: Monica Fimbrez on vocals & bass guitar; Jordan Wilson on guitar, tres cubano, guitar & vocals; and Katiana Somer Gomez on vocals & percussion.
